Equity Builds Expertise™ Introduction: Getting Started

The Equity Builds Expertise™ Getting Started package offers a condensed overview session consisting of content from each of the three key modules in the Equity Builds Expertise™ framework for STEM teacher professional development. Within the three hours, participants consider mindshift in their own personal perspectives of STEM education and student learning, they learn transferable skills that increase content retention and expertise building in STEM classes, and they begin to identify classroom systems and practices which build student self-efficacy in STEM classes.

Includes:

• 3 hour overview session of entire Equity builds Expertise™ framework to preview key topics and experiences with staff
• End of session survey to identify next best steps for school leaders
• a survey analysis meeting with leaders to determine pathway forward

Package 2

Equity builds Expertise™ Two-Day Workshop

The Equity Builds Expertise™ Two-Day Workshop is all about building skill and muscle memory through deep dives into each component of the three part framework while transforming current curriculua, instructional practices and/or classroom systems. These two days are where transformation happens and the skill for continued transformation is developed.

• 2- full 4 hour day workshops

• Copies of Equity Builds Expertise: 9 Strategies for STEM Teachers to Reach All Students book and Equitable Grading in STEM: A 30 Day Transformational Planner for 15 participants
